Why subscribe?
This is a substack for writers, readers, and fiction aficionados.
In the grim reality that is publishing in 2023, my goal is to give advice to my fellow writers. Possibly good advice. Possibly free. And dare I say, well written?
Fiction has always been a matter of opinion. If you have any interest in the craft of writing, you surely stumbled upon some. Maybe a masterclass from an award-winning author, maybe a manual on the art of writing.
Yet, this is a land without hard-and-fast rules - and whoever tells you otherwise is probably far to eager to get your money in exchange for some generic advice.
Being discouraged hinders inspiration. This substack is meant to help.

Who are you? Why should I take your word?
I’m an indie writer with two books and a collection of short stories (Reality and Contagion) under his belt. I published several short stories on some literary magazines here and there. I manage and edit a lit magazine of my own (Alkalina).
Coming to the other question: fair point. You shouldn’t. My advice is exactly has good as anyone’s else, meaning not very. Take my advice, use it, misuse it, trash it, copy-paste it, hand it over, print it, crumple it, and whatever else comes to mind.
Unlike many writing gurus, I won’t pretend that my words are golden. What they aspire to be is a little bit helpful. If anything, you can always subscribe to see me fail!
